Jigsaw Records

Founded in 2017, by entrepreneur Chris Percival, and BBC Introducing Artist of the Week, James Edgar, Jigsaw Records, is an independent record label based in Chester, and the newest company within the Jigsaw Group.

The Brief

James and Chris approached the eJIGSAW design team to create a logo and brand identity for the record label. They requested that it be contemporary, clean, and recognisable, but also refer to the classic artists of the past that inspired James to pursue a career in the music industry.

What We Did

By combining different elements of the Jigsaw brand and the varying formats of music throughout the years, up to the always-connected streaming apps of the modern day we created an identity for Jigsaw Records that is instantly iconic, and fitting for such an innovative and exciting startup label. As a label very much in its infancy it was important that the brand was instantly recognisable and also adaptable for all the artists that sign for it.
