Laura Stewart joins eJIGSAW as a Senior Back-End Developer!
We’re closing in on an exciting first quarter at eJIGSAW and as a result of our increasing client portfolio, we are happy to announce the appointment of Laura Stewart to the Development Team.
Laura joins eJIGSAW having previously worked at several agencies across the North-West and comes with a wealth of experience in PHP and back-end development.
At eJIGSAW, Laura will be responsible for leading the back-end development team and taking the technical lead on all internal projects within the Jigsaw Group and overseeing all back-end systems for our clients.
Laura will also support the project management and business development teams when completing tender processes, liaising with clients, and managing existing projects.
“I was in need of a new challenge, and it wasn’t an easy decision taking on a role in a startup but I felt ready to take it on, and I’m so glad I did!”
To get to know Laura Stewart a little better we asked her some questions…
1. Firstly…why eJIGSAW?
It wasn’t an easy decision taking on a role in a startup where I would be the first member of the development team but I was in need of a new challenge and felt ready to take it on, and I’m so glad I did!
Coupled with the freedom to make decisions about technologies and projects, the culture at Jigsaw House makes the perfect fit for me both as a developer and as a person. Having a great team and approachable leaders make a huge difference to my day-to-day working life.
2. Describe yourself in 3 words.
3. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.
I’m a trained shoe-fitter, is that interesting enough? There’s literally nothing interesting about me.
4. What is your favourite film of all-time?
5. What is your favourite song of all-time?
6. And…would you rather have a nose that dispensed talcum powder when you sneezed or an armpit that dispensed suntan lotion when needed?
Armpit that dispenses suntan lotion, obviously 🙂
